There’s a version of this conversation that’s all hype. AI will replace your marketing team. AI will write all your content autonomously.

That is not the conversation worth having.

The version worth having is quieter and more consequential. AI is changing the quality and speed of marketing decisions for businesses that use it well. And the gap between businesses that build this capability and those that do not is widening fast.

The Decision Problem That AI Actually Solves

Marketing has always been decision-intensive. Which channel? Which message? Which segment? Which budget allocation?

In a large company, those decisions are informed by research teams, analysts, and years of institutional learning. In an SMB, they are made by whoever has time, often with incomplete information and no shared framework.

AI does not eliminate judgment. It compresses the time and cost of getting to better-informed judgment.

    Upload customer reviews, sales notes, and support tickets. Ask AI to cluster language: desired outcomes, objections, switching triggers, and buying criteria.

  3. Content strategy that is tied to execution
    Build a content framework around the customer’s decision journey. Define the questions at each stage. Then produce content briefs your team can actually ship and measure.

The Trap Most SMBs Fall Into

The most common AI mistake is using it for the wrong job. Generating content at volume, shipping mediocre work, and sounding like everyone else. Automating tasks that should be redesigned instead.
